Welcome to Nicholson's Orchard Fresh Fruit and Produce Page!

Growing the Best Fruit Washington State has to offer.
Nothing beats fresh fruit picked right from the tree. It's sweeter, crisper, more aromatic and more delicious than fruit that has been stored for months. Over the years, people driving over Blewett Pass (U.S. 97) have stopped by our orchard and asked if they could buy a box or two of our freshly picked fruit. These people came back year after year becoming our first regular retail customers.
While most of the fruit we grow is packed by a "grower owned" co-operative and shipped around the world, we decided in 1992 to open a small roadside fruit stand to sell fresh fruit to anyone who wanted to stop and visit our orchard. Since then we've grown a little each year. And, we will be adding more features in the future.
We've found that most of our customers are curious and concerned about where their food comes from. They have lots of questions about agricultural practices, and we enjoy taking time to talk about their concerns. While most of our fruit is grown to I.P.M. (Integrated Pesticide Management) standards, some of our fruit is grown to Washington State Certified Organic Standards.
Visiting our orchard should be an enjoyable experience for the whole family. We always have "Free Samples"of our fresh tree ripe fruit available. We have an exhibit of farm animals, with chickens, rabbits, a miniature donkey, a pygmy goat and others. Farm tours will be available on weekends. These tours give our customers the opportunity to view our fruit ladened trees, and hear about the different varieties we grow.
If you are unable to take one of our farm tours there are still plenty of things to see and do. Some people like to stand by an apple or pear tree covered with growing fruit and have their picture taken. Others take a travel break and enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of a fifty year old golden delicious tree. The more adventurous visitors enjoy walking down a row or two of fruit trees, enjoy the smells of ripening fruit, and try to identify their favorite variety. We hope you'll stop by and look at our orchard too.
